It takes a long time, longer than he expected, for it to pass through him.

He wants to tell Claudius everything -- about the visions, about the weight of Dark, about how he'd expected Easter to come with the relief of spring. He will tell him. But first, he dries his eyes on the sleeve of his robe and asks, "Art thou all right?"
