"Oh, yes," says Xie Lian. "He is quite dead. I don't think the denizens of Ghost City would consent to rule by anyone living." He smiles. "Also, I find many of the living don't enjoy even visiting Ghost City, nevermind ruling it. I don't quite know why--personally I find it a very interesting place."
